 Our People

Scott Godfrey

Executive Director and Founder

"Grandpa Scott" began his lacrosse journey with the Esquimalt Minor Lacrosse Mini-Tykes in 1967 in Victoria, British Columbia.

Fast forward 50+ years and Canada's National Summer Sport has taken Scott to Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, the United States, and England. Having played and coached from grass roots to provincial, international and professional levels, Lacrossing Barriers and Adapted Sport Development is by far his most cherished accomplishment.

While a Program Coordinator with the Autism Aspergers Friendship Society of Calgary (AAFS Calgary), Scott began adaptive and inclusive sport programming.

With Lacrossing Barrriers he has been able to parlay his passion and experiences into helping develop several award-winning and recognized adapted sport and movement-based programs.

Sarah Allum

LB Senior Facilitator

Sarah has been a part of Lacrossing Barriers since 2023. She started as a practicum student. She developed the tap dancing program that we are excited to be bringing back in early 2025.

After graduating from Mount Royal University with a Bachelors of Health and Physical Education at the end of 2023, Sarah started working with LB at the beginning of 2024.

As a senior facilitator, she is present at many LB events, offering teaching and encouragement.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys hiking and baking, with sourdough bread being her favourite.

Dominic Pinotti

LB Logistics Specialist

Dominic has been involved with LB since early 2021. You may have seen him at our boxing and lacrosse programs helping teach or just being an encouragement to others.

Dominic is our guy behind the scenes overseeing logistics, transportation and planning.

He sees the love and community expressed in LB and is glad to be making a difference.

In his free time, Dominic enjoys playing video games and watching anime.

Rebecca Lee

WLB Marketing Director and Social Media Coordinator

Rebecca is our newest staff member and super excited to join our team. As an experienced sports and tournament photographer based out of the GTA, she is no stranger to shooting lacrosse.

She will be managing marketing and social media for Women’s Lacrossing Barriers (WLB), our newest initiative.

In her free time, Rebecca enjoys getting outside and spending time with her family. She loves creating whether that be through photography or drawing.

You can check out her work at

Josiah Navratil

Website Manager and Photographer

Josiah is a recent SAIT Journalism graduate and a huge NBA and Toronto Raptors fan.

He has been able to cover events such as the Calgary Surge home opener at the Scotiabank Saddledome and most recently took pictures at the 2024 Lacrosse Canada U17 and U19 Men’s Field Lacrosse National Championships.

Bryce Ripley

LB Ambassador and Facilitator

Bryce is a founding member of Lacrossing Barriers and one of the best friends ever.

Bryce began his lacrosse journey a long time ago and has been a season ticket holder with the Calgary Roughnecks for years now.

In 2018 his playing and coaching journey began with a visit to the Minto Cup. After meeting many players, coaches and GMs Bryce chose to play lacrosse.

Since then he has been a stalwart at all AAFS Lacrosse Programming and every LB event as a Box/Indoor goalie and a long pole in field. Bryce is a Level One coach.

Brock Pridmore

LB Ambassador and Facilitator

If you check out the picture, you will see this kid in 2015 who wasn't keen on trying Canada's National Summer Sport and would not say much....at all. Family and Coach Scott bribed him with 7-11 chicken wings.

Did it work? Seven years later Brock hasn't missed a program, flown to Ontario to help with a ceremonial faceoff, and, accepted the 2012 AAFSies Award for Program of The Year on behalf of AAFS Lacrosse.

Brock is a Level One Box Lacrosse Coach, an advocate, Ambassador and Team and Program Captain for LB and the Thunder Monkeys AAFS Lacrosse Club.

Brock, and all staff are proof that lacrosse is a family and the Medicine Game.

Jean Pierre "JP" Seguin

LB Ambassador and Facilitator

JP started out his lacrosse career as a player with the Autism Aspergers Friendship Society of Calgary Program.

JP will be the first to say he was not keen on playing. A self-professed movie guy, he had to be dragged to his first session.

When JP saw the love and respect in the lacrosse community he fell in love with The Medicine Game. Another Level One Coach, JP is also the Lacrossing Barriers hype man. He makes a point of ensuring everyone is welcome and that they know we care.

(ps: JP is the one without the beard, with his buddy Zach)

Jason Lubar

Design and Marketing Support

Jason and Scott are friends that met through volunteering in lacrosse organizations that serve underprivileged communities and children with disabilities.

Jason has been playing lacrosse and ice hockey since the age of five and believes that EVERYONE deserves a place on the field.

He is still highly active as a coach in the Greater Philadelphia Area. When Jason isn't working, coaching, or training, you will find him spending time with his wife Kimberly and son Levi.
